Ukrainian duo تنها كاربران عضو مي توانند لينك ها را مشاهده كنند. are back with their second تنها كاربران عضو مي توانند لينك ها را مشاهده كنند. release, the double A-side "Antalya" and "Tenerife". Beginning their relationship with the label last year with "Britanica" and "Scarlet Heaven", these rising stars have been going from strength to strength. We caught up with Nikita and Vadym to find out a bit more about two of the most recent additions to the تنها كاربران عضو مي توانند لينك ها را مشاهده كنند. family.
Victor Chistov on Twitter asks "How did the name "Ost & Meyer" come about?"
"Ost & Meyer comes from two names, Daniel Ost & Vadym Meyer. They were our nicknames before we started working together."
We know that you first started working together because you found you had identical taste in music, what were the music and artists that brought you together?
"We loved and got inspiration from music by Super8 & Tab, Kyau & Albert, Above & Beyond, Ronski Speed, Duderstadt and Daniel Kandi."
How are things in your new studio that you opened last summer? Have you added anything exciting to it recently?
"Yes, over the last six months we've bought an amazing audio interface RME fireface 800, Adam A7 studio monitors, KRK Ergo controller with room correction system and a hi-end microphone processor Focusrite ISA 430 mk II producer pack. It sounds amazing, fat and tasteful on any vocal radio voice and instruments that we are recording through."
Muhammed Ahmed on Twitter asks "What is your favourite program to use and why?"
"We use Steinbers Cubase 5, but soon we're going to buy the new Cubase 6 x64. The problem we have now with Cubase 5 x86 (32bit) is the limited capacity, it only has 4 GB of ram max, but we have 16, so when we buy Cubase 6, we're going to solve this issue and will have much more capacity for better sampling and producing."
Another equipment question now, Yuri Denisenko on Twitter asks "What is your favourite VST synth?"
"Our favorite VST synths and samplers are: sylenht1, zebra2, z3ta+2, omnisphere, trilian, stylus rmx, and of course native instruments kontakt and battery 3."
The tracks on your latest Anjunabeats release "Antalya" and "Tenerife" both have names that conjure up images of summer holidays on the beach. What inspired these songs and their titles?
"Ha, that's the most asked question of this summer. These are two places that we would like to visit soon."
You started making music together quite recently in 2009. What's been the most exciting moment for you over the last three years of collaboration?
"The most exciting moment was signing our first single on Anjunabeats, the double A-side "Britanica" and "Scarlet Heaven". It was also a big pleasure to be the guestmixers on Trance Around The World and to do an episode of the Anjunabeats Worldwide radio show.
"There was also the moment when Armin said in his ASOT show “If you need a hot remix, make sure you got the phone number of Ost & Meyer ”, and finally just a few days ago we watched a TV report from “Summer Sound Festival” in Odessa where Above & Beyond had given good feedback about us, it was an amazing pleasure for us."
And finally, Hector Meza on Twitter asks "When are you guys planning on coming stateside for some shows?"
"We don’t know yet, but we hope to play there in the foreseeable future, because lots of people stateside have asked us on twitter and Facebook."
