VMM In The Spotlight Interview with VMM & Nu Communicate Recordings Remix Winner Mosahar Sayadnejad
Mosahar was born on June 25, 1989, in Iran. He found Trance genre after listening to ‘ATB The DJ’ 4 In The Mix’. In his opinion, 2008 was a year full of pure melodic and inspiring Trance tracks, which made him love this genre and inspired him to become a Trance producer and remixer. His first works were released in 2010 with his main focus is on melodies because he believes that “IT IS TRANCE MELODIES THAT MAKE TRANCE TRANCE”. Right now he is working with Insight Recordings, Silent Shore Records, Redux Recordings, Colorful Recordings, Exalted Tunes Records, Nu Communicate Recordings, and Nile Tunes Recordings, and has had some Releases on other labels too. keep a look out for more Mosahar productions as the future looks bright for this new rising star from Iran.
We place in the spotlight Mosahar Winner of the VMM & Nu Communicate Remix competition to find out how 2011 has been and what we can expect for the future of his music projects.
VMMQ: The VMM would like to ask you how did you feel when you won the VMM & Nu Communicate Recordings Remix competition?
Mosahar : First of all, hello to you and everyone who’s reading this interview, and thank you for setting it up. Well, it’s always good to be the winner whatever you do; and it’s the same in this case. It feels good. VMMQ: Mosahar can you tell us how and why did you start to produce dance music?
Mosahar : Actually, by chance I listened to ATB’s ‘The DJ’ 4 In The Mix’, and I found many great tracks there. Then I searched to know what was the genre I had just listened to, and I realised they call it Trance. So I began to search for more tracks, and the more I listened to Trance, the more I loved it, and I thought it should also feel great producing it. This way I became a Trance producer. VMMQ: The VMM would like to know how would you best describe the Mosahar sound for people that are just discovering you?
Mosahar : First I must say that my best works are still Upcoming, and will be released soon. Well My main focus is on melodies because I believe if you take special melodies of Trance out of it, you can’t call it Trance anymore, because Trance is defined by its special and catching melodies. I believe my melodies come straight from my heart and can make a connection with listener making him understand what I’m saying through my music. VMMQ: Can you tell the VMM what new releases we can we look out for in the coming months from Mosahar?
Mosahar : Sure. I have many Upcoming Releases and I list some of them for you here:
Mosahar – Progmassive Inc. Remixes [Silent Shore Records]
Mosahar – After All Inc. Remixes [Silent Shore Records]

Dreamy – Life (Mosahar Remix) [Nile Tunes Recordings] VMMQ: Can you tell the VMM what it means to you to have the support from Nu Communicate Recordings label owner & DJ Producer Ben Alonzi?
Mosahar : Well, Ben is a nice guy and also nice producer. He’s been in the scene for years and coming producers should get help from such guys. VMMQ: The VMM would like to know what studio set up do you have Mosahar and how do you like to work when producing a track?
Mosahar : To be honest, I don’t have a special studio; I just work with a host program and some VSTis. Being alone is the best thing for me when I’m producing a track. VMMQ: So how is the dance scene these days in Iran compared to the rest of the globe?
Mosahar : Oh, to put it at best, I must say there is NO dance scene in Iran. We don’t have any clubs here and DJing and playing and setting shows up are forbidden activities. So you can feel how hard it is keeping yourself motivated and continuing producing in such atmosphere. Electronic music, especially this genre, Trance, is not well recognised here and I can say maybe Trance fans don’t go over 100 people in Iran. But we have like 10 very talented coming producers and I am sure they will prove themselves to the world of Trance. VMMQ: Can you tell the VMM what’s your favourite bit of studio kit at the moment and why?
Mosahar : My favourite kit is the big screen of my monitor; it really helps! VMMQ: Can you tell the VMM what are your goals for 2012?
Mosahar : As I said, my best works are Upcoming and some of them will be released in 2012. So then the listener will be more familiar with me, my sound, and my style. My main goal is getting listened by people. So I do my best to produce the best tracks I can so that everybody enjoys them. VMMQ: Where can our VMM viewers find out all the latest about Mosahar?
